Following the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics taking place this year 2021, Ese Brume has won the first bronze medal in Women’s Long Jump for Nigeria.

For the past thirteen years, this is Nigeria’s first medal in athletics at the Olympic Games.

With her most leap of 6.97m, Brume settled for bronze and Malaika Mihambo went for the best medal (gold) with a 7.00m.
